My favourite things series: Scent

 A few years ago, my parents went overseas, and my mother brought back a sampler pack of BVLGARI fragrances for me. They were all very lovely, but one in particular struck me, and very quickly became a favourite of mine.

BVLGARI Rose Essentielle is a beautiful, subtle, fresh scent. It just smells like rosewater, so smooth and barely-there, yet sweet enough to give me a pick-me-up and make me feel more feminine.

I picked this one up on boxing day at Chemist Warehouse for $29.95, so it's an absolute steal at the moment. If you like rose-scented fragrances, or even if you're looking for a new, subtle scent, go try this one on.

Feeling like a superstar with so...? fragrances.

 It's a rare thing to find a fragrance that perfectly suits your skin chemistry and settles in perfectly with the balance of your natural pheromone scent.

For me, so...? superstar is one of those fragrances! It went on a little bit heady, with the fruity scents lingering in the air as I sprayed it on, but as it warmed on my skin, the aroma of almond musk and lily of the valley hit my senses and I was in heaven.

With top notes of oranges and passionfruit, it would make an ideal spring into summer fragrance, perfect for moonlit walks by the bay or a night out with friends.

It's available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml eau de toilette, as well as a 150ml body spray, which is awesome for carrying in your gym bag or overnighter.

Smelly things: Stella McCartney's new one is beautiful.

I was in Myer the other day looking at some cosmetics and skin care stuff, and the lady who served me had her register behind the fragrance counter.

She invited me to try a brand new fragrance by Stella McCartney, and I instantly fell in love. L.I.L.Y is a beautiful, sweet, floral scent, not too heavy, but a bit more grown-up than her other fragrances. The lady gave me a sample and I've worn it every day since. I can't wait for it to actually be released here in Australia! Now, the thing you need to know about the name is that it's a really beautiful story. L.I.L.Y is the nickname that Paul (Stella's dad) used to call his late wife, Linda (Stella's mum)... and it stands for Linda, I love you. How beautiful is that?

This is one you should definitely make the trip to Myer to check out.
